Mountain Moving Faith

A small congregation in the foothills of the Great Smokies built a new sanctuary on a piece of land willed to them by a church member. Ten days before the new church was to open, the local building inspector informed the

pastor that the parking lot was inadequate for the size of the building.

Until the church doubled the size of the parking lot, they would not be able to use the new sanctuary. Unfortunately, the church with its undersized lot had used every inch of their land except for the mountain against which it

had been built. In order to build more parking spaces, they would have to move the mountain out of the back yard. Undaunted, the pastor announced the

next Sunday morning that he would meet that evening with all members who had

"mountain moving faith." They would hold a prayer session asking God to remove the mountain from the back yard and to somehow provide enough money to have it paved and painted before the scheduled opening dedication service the following week. At the appointed time, 24 of the congregation's 300

members assembled for prayer. They prayed for nearly three hours. At ten o'clock the pastor said the final "Amen". "We'll open next Sunday as scheduled," he assured everyone. "God has never let us down before, and I believe He will be faithful this time too." The next morning as he was

working in his study there came a loud knock at his door. When he called "come in", a rough looking construction foreman appeared, removing his hard hat as he entered. "Excuse me, Reverend. I'm from Acme Construction

Company over in the next county. We're building a huge shopping mall. We need some fill dirt. Would you be willing to sell us a chunk of that mountain behind the church? We'll pay you for the dirt we remove and pave all the exposed area free of charge, if we can have it right away. We can't do anything else until we get the dirt in and allow it to settle properly."

The little church was dedicated the next Sunday as originally planned and there were far more members with "mountain moving faith" on opening Sunday

than there had been the previous week!

Would you have shown up for that prayer meeting? Some people say faith comes from miracles. But others know: MIRACLES COME FROM FAITH!

Why Me ?

Why Me?

The question most of us who are going through difficult times ask, Why Me?

It is difficult to find an answer to that question, some times only God knows the answer  and He will reveal it to us in His own time.

Deuteronomy 29:29

29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

We should take advantage of what God has already revealed  to us in the Bible and apply those revelation to help us in our daily life.

Word of God in the book of Exodus 23:25-26 says:

25 “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. 26 No  one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfil the number of your days.

God has revealed to us that He is a God who heal our sickness. This truth is revealed to us, so we can put our energy and mind into believing that God has taken sickness away from us, the number of our days. we will fulfil.

There are 33,800 promises of God recorded in the Bible, we can say God has answered 33,800 questions any of us can ask!, I rather spend time studying these promises of God, and live in the blessings of the promises which make me an overcomer. An overcomer sees far beyond the answers to the daily needs, an overcomer has a heart filled with gratitude, thankfullness, and absolute love to Jesus, our God, an overcomer does not limit God's love. mercy, and grace in their live. they are flowing in and through them like a fountain. let us taste this love. let us live in the blessings God has already given to us, let us not just look for answers. let us soak  in the presence of God. which is all around us and be a living testimony to the glory of God.

Is there no Palm in Gilead

Friends, God is calling us in this year for a deeper walk with Him.

All around us, people are going through difficult times, sickness, poverty, unemployment, marriage, relationship problems, depression, the list get longer and longer. the question is:

◄ Jeremiah 8:22 ►

Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?

Surely there is a balm in Gilead, let us together fervently seek God for us, for those who are in need, and for those who are persecuted for their beliefs. It is time for the body of Christ to rise up and stand against the forces that are coming against us.

This year we are focusing on meditating and praying daily the Lord's prayer. Patients suffering with illness are showing interest to pray  the Lord's prayer, may be the healing they are waiting will come to pass by all of us coming together and seek the face of God.  Friends, may we all do something together which will make an impact in the world we are living, Holy Spirit will help us. This year let us walk an extra mile, by thinking of those who are suffering either with sickness. poverty. or with any situation that are troubling them. When we pray the Lord's prayer. Let us think not only about ourself but also those who are suffering, and those who are in need.
