Praise Report: 'Lord this is me Charlie talking to you, help me!'My wife is suffering from end stage kidney failure, she has been going for dialysis since 2005. This is a journey for both of us of suffering and joy in the Lord. My wife was very ill in y...ear 2009, doctors thought she will not recover, but thank God for prayer, and for praying friends, and also for good doctors, nurses and domestic staffs . My wife recovered well she is still going for dialysis, we believe our situation is in God 's hands and He will complete the good work He had started in our life. 13th of Feb, 2012 I took my wife to
the dialysis unit to be dialysed, three hours session, when I was above to leave the ward, I saw Charlie who is also suffering from end stage kidney failure, who has been coming for dialysis at least for 3 years. He looked very sad. He said to me that he is very depress, his father has kidney problem, his brother is in the hospital with a serious medical condition, Charlie felt that there is a curse spoken over his family, that is why he is suffering; He asked about my faith, and he is thinking of changing his religion. He wanted me to help him in finding some who can give him advice. I answered him , 'Charlie, changing your religion is not going to solve your problem. God can hear your prayers. You go home and talk to God every day, say to God , ' God this is me Charlie talking to you, help me'. I told him to say this prayer every day for 1 week, and I will see him next week. After saying this I left the ward to attend a prayer meeting. |
After one week, on the 20th feb, I took my wife for her dialysis, when Charlie saw me, he shouted and said ' You are right!, you right!, After i said the prayer for few days I received a call from the hospital that they had found a life donor with a perfect match and i will be going on the 3 rd of March for a kidney transplant', and he said my wife too will have her Kidney transplant soon. We both rejoiced over this good news.
I thank God for His hand on this experience with Charlie. I learned from this experience that getting answers from God is not difficult if we know how to approach Him. There is no need for us to look for a middle person to ask God for our needs, there are no special prayers we need to learn to talk to God. If we are real with God, God will be real with us. Charlie was desperate with a need, he talked with God in his own language, that went up to heaven immediately and God responded to it immediately, because the prayer Charlie prayed came out of his heart in a language Charlie was comfortable with. May the Lord help us to pray from our heart in the language we are comfortable with and receive our expected answers. In a week's time when I take my wife to the dialysis, I will not see Charlie, I wonder, Lord used me to help Charlie, Lord also knows that my wife too needs help, we may not understand what is going in this experience, my Lord knows the way that I should be walking with my wife, all I have to do is to follow Jesus in this walk of faith. Friends as we enter into 2012, we may feel we are a failure, remember that is not how God is looking at us, God has a wonderful plan for our future, He is our Heavenly Father, at the sound of the name of Jesus, all the powers of the three worlds have to bow down, even our feelings, don't believe the lies of the enemy , rise up in the name of Jesus and be ready to serve our great King of Kings who is coming soon, let us be God's testimonies of love to the world. |

How would you describe Jesus?

The story is told of a dream where four were kneeling in prayer and the Lord Him self came to meet the need of each. He paused by the first and laid His hand upon her, and His touch brought comfort and strength. Then He stood by the second, and He didn't put out His hand, but He just spoke a word, and the sound of His voice, soothed and healed. When He came to the third He didnot touch her or say anything. But the look on His face was so full of loving compassion that her heart was warmed and filled with joy. Then the Lord went on, and He passed by the fourth without a toch, a word, or even a look. The dreamer knew that the fourth one was going through deep waters, burdened for daily necessities. So the dreamer cried out, "Lord, why have You passed her by without so much as a look?". Psalm 91 carries with it a tremendous promise for those who choose to make God their dwelling place and choose to put their entire trust in Him (vs1). This psalm is a declaration of God's protection and deliverance for those who proclaim and declare God's faithfulness (vs 2). Even though the enemy plots and schemes against us (vs 3) we are assured that God will guard and watch over us (vs4) and that no evil will come near us (vs5-7). You shall be empowered to tread down the enemy and be victorious against his plans against you (vs13-15). |
