Stanley Jones, a Christian missionary to India, once asked Ghandi the following question: "How can we make Christianity naturalized in India, not a foreign thing, identified with a foreign government and a foreign people, but a part of the national life of India and contributing its power to India's uplift?" Gandhi responded: "First, I would suggest all of you Christians, missionaries and all, must begin to live more like Jesus Christ. Second, practice your religion without adulterating it or toning it down. Third, emphasize love and make it your working force, for love is central in Christianity. Fourth, study the non-Christian religions more sympathetically to find the good that is within them, in order to have a more sympathetic approach to the people." Friends when we begin to walk in love towards others, it allows us to come into the presence of God. love over comes all fears, and worries, the true nature of Christ in us becomes alive when we walk in love. let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us. Holy Spirit will help us to be rooted and grounded in love. Friends if you want God's power to work in your life, allow the love of God to let loose in your life, that is the only way you will see the power of God working in your life. |

Having grown up on a farm, the concept of 'meitheal' has a special resonance for me. Meitheal refers to a form of cooperative labour which existed, and to some extend, still exists in rural Ireland. In a meitheal system, groups of farmers helped each other out with tasks such as harvesting cropped, saving the hay or bringing home the turf from the bog. This cultivated a great sense of community spirit and social reciprocity and also led to greater efficiency in the workplace. Meitheal reminds us that, even though we like to be masters of our own destiny, we cannot complete the journey alone, and we are all interdependent in some way or another. I hope that spirit of meitheal will permeate all of our activities in the School of Medicine so that we can help each other and the School to reap a strong harvest.' The story is told of a dream where four were kneeling in prayer and the Lord Him self came to meet the need of each. He paused by the first and laid His hand upon her, and His touch brought comfort and strength. Then He stood by the second, and He didn't put out His hand, but He just spoke a word, and the sound of His voice, soothed and healed. When He came to the third He didnot touch her or say anything. But the look on His face was so full of loving compassion that her heart was warmed and filled with joy. Then the Lord went on, and He passed by the fourth without a toch, a word, or even a look. The dreamer knew that the fourth one was going through deep waters, burdened for daily necessities. So the dreamer cried out, "Lord, why have You passed her by without so much as a look?". Then the Lord turned back and told " This last one doesn't need a vision or special manifestation from Me. Psalm 91 carries with it a tremendous promise for those who choose to make God their dwelling place and choose to put their entire trust in Him (vs1). This psalm is a declaration of God's protection and deliverance for those who proclaim and declare God's faithfulness (vs 2). Even though the enemy plots and schemes against us (vs 3) we are assured that God will guard and watch over us (vs4) and that no evil will come near us (vs5-7). You shall be empowered to tread down the enemy and be victorious against his plans against you (vs13-15).

Urgent Prayer request 2 days to live urgent prayer request Senior Pastor of a church in Srilanka is very ill, doctors have given 2 days to live, just spoke to him on the phone, he is very ill, could n't talk, all he said was 'PRAISE THE LORD', when I heard his voice I felt the pain and the suffering at the same time the joy of knowing JESUS, please pray for God to supernaturally heal him, give him the grace to overcome this illness in Jeus name. 30-08-2011 Senior Pastor is able to breath, also able to take fluid, there is slight imporovement, thank God for this. He has gangrene up his foot and it is dead - and is in danger of becoming septic. We need a miracle. 11-09-2011 Senior Pastor Joy Fitch passed away peacefully on the 11th of Sep at 5:55 pm Srilankan time. He recovered from his illness and even preached few times, his last message to the church was 'JESUS OVER CAME THE ENEMY, BECAUSE OF THAT WE TOO ARE OVER COMERS, LET US FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH', please pray for his family and for his church, he is a great loss to the church, he will be greatly missed by the church workers and the believers. The Church, and all who knew him, have sustained a great loss and will miss him enormously, not just for his activities in the church, but for all he did for the believers and the love for God he had at a very early age of his life, His honesty and commitment to give his all to JESUS at a very early age of his life had touched all of our hearts, knowing him and praying with him for 5-6 times a week nearly for 3 years, I can honestly say, he was truly sold out for God, Bro. Joy's last message to the church was ' Jesus OVER CAME the enemy, because of that we too are over comers, we don't have to fear the enemy, fight the good fight of faith.' What a message!, week before his departure, God even chosen the day of his departure 9/11, the day world will never forget, to tell the world by this humble servant of God, 'Jesus over came the enemy, don't fear'. Bro. Joy has spoken these words, let us believe it and run our race knowing that 'JESUS OVER CAME THE ENEMY, BECAUSE OF THAT WE TOO ARE OVER COMERS, LET US FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH' 'we will miss you Joy'. |

Hi Gerry. We would like to send a very sincere thank all the people who prayed for Oliver during his cancer treatment. There is no trace of any tumour now and today Dr. Martin told him he can have the peg feed removed as he no longer needs it and eating fine. Just imagine he couldnt swallow for 2 months. Thanks again. mary and all. Lord Jesus we thank you for all the blessings in Olivers life and freeing him from cancer.
