Above picture was taken in Srilanka, it is a picture of a mountain which is called "Bible Rock". here is a true story of the impact the image of the Bible Rock had on a 8 year old child.
"My Dad passed away when I was 10 years old. The most memorable event that changed my life being with my Dad was our train journeys to Nuwara Eliya, at a particular place during the journey he calls me and point to this mountain, and he will say " Son, look at this mountain, it is called the Bible rock". He never knew the impact this is going to have later on in my life, every time when I saw this mountain in our journeys with my Dad, I felt some thing in me, which I couldn't explain. In a way my Dad was saying to me " I will not be with you son, but the rock of ages will guide you, bible is God's word, my son attend to God's word, There is life and health written in the Bible".
Seeing that rock which is called the Bible rock had made a very strong impression in my mind, I began to treasure God's word.
My Dad never preached to me, but in our train journeys together every time with out fail, he will point to that rock called the Bible rock, my Dad was guiding me in his own ways to seek God, the only thing that I have of my Dad is his own Bible, with references written by him on some of the verses that has blessed him.
The bible rock that my dad reminded in my train journeys with him had such an influence in my life, it ignited in my spirit to search for God in the book called the Bible and discover the great I am, the rock of ages, the God who said, "even a mother can forget her child, but I will not forget you, I will be with you, do not be discouraged, I am with you"
I can say with full assurance God wants to communicate and have fellowship with us, don't look for tomorrow, today is the day of salvation, He is speaking to us most of all through those who loves us and cares about us, He is speaking to us through nature , cultivate the habit of listening to His voice, our Lord loves us so much, He will never leave us, He will never fail us, may you find the things that inspires you to get closer to God today, that is my sincere prayer for you today.
